Pupils in Year 9 had the privilege of taking part in GF Smiths career talk today at Rise Up. The talk was engaging and informative, and it helped pupils to better understand some of the different jobs available after school. The speaker explained many different career journeys from their company. This was very clear and used real-life examples, which made the information easier to relate to and more interesting.
Pupils particularly enjoyed looking at the samples and realising how materials were used to create the products. The discussed every role from production to sales and asked some great questions.
The talk encouraged pupils to think about their own future goals, and it highlighted the importance of the different skills needed for each of the roles discussed.
The talk was really interesting and motivating, helping pupils to get an idea of the opportunities that may be available to them in the future.
