Coaching Sport

Rise Academy have teamed with Hull FC – 2016 Challenge Cup Winners to enhance our sport offer. With the expertise of the Hull FC coaching team our learners are able to access quality provision, up-to-date sporting resources and credible sport qualifications. Incentives such as match day tickets, meeting the players and match day responsibilities are linked to students continued attendance and effort – a great partnership.

Coaching at varying levels

Principles of Coaching Sport – This award covers essential coaching knowledge that can be used across any sport. Students learn how to plan, conduct and evaluate coaching activities. There are levels for those who are just starting out, as well as options for more experienced coaches.

Level 1 in Sport – The award is aimed at those interested in the Sport and Active Leisure Industry, or wishing to practically participate in a number of activities it is a hands on qualification which is designed to prepare the candidate for work in a multitude of sport and leisure facilities and raise awareness of how and where to participate in sporting opportunities.

Level 2 in Sport – The award is a progression from the Level 1 in Sport that goes into much more detail and is aimed at those interested in the Sport and Active Leisure Industry, or wishing to practically participate in a number of activities it is a practical qualification which is designed to prepare the candidate for work in a multitude of sport and leisure facilities and raise awareness of how and where to participate in sporting opportunities.

Sports Leaders UK – Is an enrichment award delivered alongside the above courses and looks at the more specific focus on teaching and coaching and the dynamics that come with it.
