Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings
This subject covers the roles, responsibilities and values of the health and social care sector, the education sector and early years provisions.
These are vital sectors as they support everyone and we will use them across our lifespan. Some of the topics we will cover are:
- Understand the range of service provision and roles within health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare
- Understand the principles and values in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare
- Introductory awareness of health and safety in health, social care and children’s and young people’s settings
This course is available as a Level 1 Award (completed over 1 year) or a Level 1 Certificate (completed over 2 years).
There is no examination for this subject, the work is assessed through portfolio building and various activities which are marked and submitted to the exam board.
