What a great visit to London for UK Parliament week.
We had the absolute pleasure of taking a small group of Year 11 students for a whistle stop tour of London, with the highlight being part of a select number of schools to witness a debate regarding lowering the voting age to 16 years.
The debate was very engaging and our students reported feeling very privileged to have the experience. Even more so, when we were treated to a tour of Westminster through the underground tunnels!
It really helped us think about how we can include more political conversations into our curriculum and support our students in feeling empowered to use their voice and vote!
