Today students from Main Site, KS3 and Rise Above participated in sessions with Prison me no way. This sessions allowed students to speak to an ex criminal and learn about his life experience and what led to his sentence and rehabilitation process.
Students also met with a prison officer to explore their role whilst exploring what life in prison is like. Students were able to go inside a prison cell van and explore what prisoners would experience. Finally, students had a discussion with another prison officer around the dangers of county lines and how young people can be exploited and vulnerable in the community.
This was a brilliant session where all students listened careful, asked relevant questions and engaged with the professionals.
We want to thank everyone involved in the smooth running of the day
