An excellent day throughout -Pupils where all brilliant, behaviour was excellent, and all the students were fully engaged in all the activities. It was a really great day
This week Rise Up the pupils in KS3 had an excellent day, working with staff from the Prison Me No Way Trust. They listened to real life stories about the impact of prison life and crime.
The programme provided the pupils with real-life learning experiences and genuine accounts of criminal pasts and prison life; from both sides of the law. Prison guards with over 30 years experience all over the country and ex prisoners alike, shared their stories with the pupils.
The sessions raised awareness on the cause, consequences, penalties and the impacts of crime. The aim of the day was to help reduce any risk taking behaviours and to prevent young people becoming involved in crime. It provided information to help pupils think carefully about decisions they may make throughout their lives.
