Once again, thank you for an excellent Development Day.
Over the past three days I have seen some high quality practise. The systems set up by Georgia have enabled students to develop their reading and make good progress. This has meant you now have some children who no longer need to be on the programme, allowing Georgia to pick up on some more students who have been assessed at the lower aspects of Fresh Start.
It was an absolute pleasure to see Rising Stars in action this morning. Teachers prioritised the teaching of Fresh Start, their practise was of a high quality and ALL students demonstrated excellent learning behaviours. A particular highlight was listening to two students reading Romeo and Juliet. There are high expectations and consistency in the teaching. All teachers I spoke to have the drive to get everyone reading.
