Last week, twenty year 11 students attended performances of Macbeth and Jekyll and Hyde at the York Opera House. This was a revision activity for their GCSE exams. The students thoroughly enjoyed the performances and they felt like the texts came to life!

In February we took our year 11 students on our annual London trip. We visited the Houses of Parliament, which was even more interactive than usual as we got to participate in a question-and-answer session with the Lords. We then spent the afternoon at the London Dungeon’s and the London Eye. This year we took

Staff and pupils decorated classroom doors around the site with images from their favourite books. This was a creative day and a great way to promote reading. The pupils had lots of fun.
